French is introduced to children in groups of two to three based on their skill level and ability. They learn basic vocabulary, as they progress they learn how to converse in French.
With respect to discipline, we use the Adlerian approach to encourage the concept of self-worth. Among the goals we strive for are: a sound basis and a healthy attitude for further learning, self-discipline, self-respect, independence, getting along with others while developing a social conscience, initiative, ability to concentrate and self-confidence.
The Carpenter's Montessori School follows the Montessori philosphy allowing the children to have a spontaneous desire to learn and the ability to pace their own development.
